During my visit back in Singapore, I went to one newly opened Korean Salon that i will definitely coming back to! I got my hair done, ready for my Chinese New Year and the little talk show event in Jakarta!

Everyone, let me introduce you "The Scene" salon! This place currently has on-going  transformation to change the scene into Korean stylists only hair salon to bring authentic Korean trends to you. I love the fact that this place own, and run by professional DuSol beauty, with in house Korean stylist as well! I got a privilege to meet and spent good 2 hours with the owner, Mr. Chu. It was really one wonderful afternoon for me. I know my hair is in good hand and i got one great businessman to share his ideas. Never estimate the creative mind behind one young face. Amazing! 

The salon is located in one of the prime locations of Singapore, and the hairstylists are highly qualified Korean professionals, who have been trained and have gained reputable styling experiences in Korea. Btw, they are not affiliated in any way with the scene at Robinson. :)

Moving on, having been involve in beauty world since 2012 as beauty blogger, I know what is good and what is so-so kind of treatment, technique and result for my hair. I must say that this hair I'm currently having from The Scene is definitely one of the best. Not because it turns the color to be even more gorgeous, the cutting technique is extraordinaire. I just love it.

I love my hair look healthy with the right amount of shine. I had my hair examine by the senior stylist before deciding what to do with it. I actually asked for a soft perm, and my request was denied because my hair couldn't take it and it will damage my hair. I LOVE this kind of professionalism, I had bad experience with one of the local salon that perm my hair without care about my hair condition. I came out of the salon with my hair tied up, because it was so damage like a corn hair. With The scene, you know they are not always just about making money - they want to make you look good.

I had a good 4 steps to regenerate my tired hair. Started with a good moisture treatment, followed by hair vitamin, oil based cream and close with one beautiful scent of mask. A good 3 hours well spent to this beautiful, bountiful hair. Super love it!

I am back to Basic..

I'm talking about my hair colour :)

I think it's been a while since i am on my natural hair colour and too be honest I am not so used to this.

My current hair colour is currently not so pleasant to see anymore, my root has grown and Sharon, the director of Salon De Choix decided to keep my hair colour to my original colour.

I am really comfortable with her care during my pregnancy, instead of pushing me for just do the colouring and post my " new hair " in my blog - she suggested to not doing anything chemical to my scalp until I delivered my baby. This is very thoughtful of her.

Tips: Bad hair day fixer!

Do you often have a bad hair day in the middle of the day? - just like me -

I really love the " just wake up " kind of hair to start my day, usually it's like one day old hair with a nice puff and glow that suits my liking :)

But damn! 

It usually won't last more than my lunch time before it gets damp and the oily scalp start to take the look down, and I mostly end up like this:

Daku biasanya suka gituuu...deh, sok berasa tinggal di negara yang kering jadi pergi ngantor rambut bisa kayak abis kuar dari ranjang..yg agak2 semi berantakan en yang keliatannya " rambut gw ga diapa2in kok ".

Tapi apa daya, idup di sg, negara yang iklim pulau..biasanya ga nyampe makan siang rambut eke teplek dan udah aut-aut-an ga jelas kayak hari ini nih: -

I'm just sharing a little tips for you who happened to have the same problem like me.

Here is the tips:

Invest in a good Dry Shampoo.

I am currently using Batiste brand that I bought in Bangkok Airport, I think you can get this in Watsons and Guardian or pretty much any kind of good dry shampoo is good to fix the bad hair day.

Intinya: beli shampo kering!

Kalo di Jakarta, gw beneran ga tau beli dimana untuk merek Batiste ini..tapi sebenernya merek apapun boleh kok..biasa di pasar baru ato di toko baby jual dry shampoo ini.

If you already have a thick hair and don't need another extra volume, you can just use the original dry shampoo just to have the clean feel and let the dry shampoo absorb the oil in the scalp away.

Arrange it around 15-20 cm away from your roots..and spray it!

Cari yang original dry shampoo kalo misalnya dikau rambutnya uda tebel dan ga perlu lagi sasakan palsu untuk bikin rambut keliatan lebih tebel. Yang original gini biasanya untuk ngebersiin rambut sama ilangin minyak di kepala. Atur jarak sekitar 15 -20 cm dari jarak botol ke kulit kepala yo!

Gently massage and spread the dry shampoo into the scalp area.

Abis semprot dry shampoo ke kepala..di pijit2 begini bentar yah..biar dry shampoo nya ngerata.

Take a brush and brush it towards the end of your hair.

Sisir! pake sisir yang model brush gini yah..sampeee bawah.

..and DONE!

But if you do have a soft and thin hair texture and would like to have the extra volume on your hair,

buy this one. I super recommend this Big and Bouncy XXL volume by Batiste.

Kalo misalnya dikau kayak daku..yang rambutnya sama sekali ga ada volumenya dan mo punya rambut ngembang..beli ini deh: Big and Bouncy XXL volume by Batiste.

Ato ga, dry shampoo yang ada komposisi buat ngembangin rambut.

Same thing:  crumple your hair a little to create the volume.

Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease my hair!

I actually have a very simple hair regime at home, it goes as simple as shampoo + hair mask (every alternate day) and the leave on conditioner to keep my permed hair in place.

So far it works for me and I already think my hair is fine :P

But when I was offered to do review on the full range of John Frieda Frizz Ease collection, I was pretty excited to know how well could this products do to my hair.

So, I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and I would say I love it.

You've gotta try it yourself and proof what I said here.

Ok- first are the shampoo and the conditioner set that I suggest you to use to soften the frizz hair texture, although I would say nothing so WOW about the shampoo and the conditioner - but it definitely better than the normal harsh shampoo. Shampoo ($15.90) and Conditioner ($15.90).

But read up for my newly found favourite product for frizzy hair!

For a curl lover! This is for you - and me :)

I like this styling spray in giving me non sticky and never crispy kind a curl look.

As simple as just spray this product generously from roots to ends.

Then I scrunch small sections of hair gently to help create waves or style it with blow drier 

If you do have a frizzy hair and nothing works so far on you, maybe you can give this range a shot.
It's pretty affordable and so far, I am liking it - I hope you are too.

Hair Do tutorial: Romantic ROM hair do

So, I think I left you ladies hanging with this photo after my ROM make up tutorial right?

Now, shall we start by getting your tease comb ready?

As this is the simple ROM hair do that you can do it on your own..you might want to have:

Hair spray, Bobbi pin, Flower head band, and tease comb, to be around you. It just to make things easier for you to work with your hair.

Let's start!

Step 1: Separate the hair to make a bee hive puff at the crown of your head.

Lift it up..

..and puff it up. This is a kind of hair that you want to achieve in creating this romantic simple ROM up do.

2. Tease your hair!

Take a little part of your hair and back comb it in layer.

Keep doing it part by part, until it creates the messy hair as below:

Once you get the volume that you like..try to smoothen out the surface of the hair.

and get your styling hair spray ready :)

Spray it generously! while styling the hair to keep in place.

Get 2 Bobbi Pin to secure the hair in X shape.

3. Curl/style your hair!

Using Panasonic multi styling straightener curler in medium size to give a little hold of the hair texture when you style it.

Place the hair between the curler and curl it outward for both left and right side of the hair.

With the Panasonic medium size curler and outward curl, you will get this hair texture.

4. Accessories!

Whether it be tiara or the flower headband that I pick for this hair do..a hair accessories could do a lot of difference in creating the look. I personally think, flower will give a romantic feel for ROM look.

I placed the flower headback all around the beehive puff I created earlier.

Bobbi pin it to keep the headband in place.

Take a section of hair and tart looping the hair through the headband..If you have a longer hair than mine, it's even better! All you need to do is to keep looping and wrapping the headband with your hair.

Slowly loop and wrapping the hair to the headband until all the hair section are looped.

Pardon my thinning hair due to the pregnancy hormone :(

Once are done with the looping thingy, it's time to work on your fringe :)

Full fringe or side fringe, both is suitable for this hair look!

I'll go for the full fringe to cover my big forehead :P
