Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease my hair!

I actually have a very simple hair regime at home, it goes as simple as shampoo + hair mask (every alternate day) and the leave on conditioner to keep my permed hair in place.

So far it works for me and I already think my hair is fine :P
But when I was offered to do review on the full range of John Frieda Frizz Ease collection, I was pretty excited to know how well could this products do to my hair.

So, I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and I would say I love it.
You've gotta try it yourself and proof what I said here.

Ok- first are the shampoo and the conditioner set that I suggest you to use to soften the frizz hair texture, although I would say nothing so WOW about the shampoo and the conditioner - but it definitely better than the normal harsh shampoo. Shampoo ($15.90) and Conditioner ($15.90).

But read up for my newly found favourite product for frizzy hair!

1. Frizz-Ease® Miraculous Recovery® Intensive Masque (150ml)
$16.90

I heart this mask quite a bit coz although it works to soften and fight the brittle and frizzy hair, it does helps hair to bounce back from the stress of blow drying, styling and the UV as well. So you don't have to worry about getting a damp hair after using this mask.

2. Frizz-Ease® Original Formula Hair Serum with AVEC Thermal Protection
(Heat Protection) (50ml)
$16.90

The top-selling brand for frizz serums and styling products in the US and with one original serum sold every 30 seconds in UK. I love how the ingredients could blocks frizz then Instantly and dramatically transforms dry, frizzy, or chemically-treated hair into smooth, glossy hair.  It contains silk protein smoothens hair while repelling humidity to help prevent weather-related frizz and not to forget an exceptional blend of silicones that immediately smoothens hair texture while delivering a layer of crystal-clear gloss for perfectly polished, frizz-resistant styles. And oh, it does contains a UV filter as well to protect your hair.

Actually, you've gotta apply it on your soaking wet hair to get the maximal result - but I kinda don't like to put it that way. What I do, I apply on my half towel dry hair and style it afterwards.

3. Frizz-Ease® Dream Curls® Styling Spray (200ml)
$16.90

For a curl lover! This is for you - and me :)
I like this styling spray in giving me non sticky and never crispy kind a curl look.
As simple as just spray this product generously from roots to ends.

Then I scrunch small sections of hair gently to help create waves or style it with blow drier

If you do have a frizzy hair and nothing works so far on you, maybe you can give this range a shot.
It's pretty affordable and so far, I am liking it - I hope you are too.

John Frieda® Full Repair®, Frizz Ease®, Brilliant Brunette®, and Luxurious Volume ranges are available at selected Watsons and Guardian stores island wide.

And before I end this post,
take a look on the styling shoot I did below with a full range of
John Frieda Frizz Ease series!

Thanks John Frieda.

As you guys know, this year will be my last year of my twenties and soon..
I'll be on my big THREE - O. I know life begins in 30.. and I'm looking forward for a new exciting journey of the big 3-0 could offer for me. On the down turn, my skin age accordingly and the unforgiving signs of skin ageing surface more evidently, causing my skin to lose its firmness, my pores to enlarge and fine lines to appear.

I haven't use this product yet, but soon after my cellumination essence is finish, I'm so gonna get myself this series. Can't wait!

It's Tried, tested and proven, the new STEMPOWER Essence is able to provide:

Is that true? I don't know yet! I'll update you guys when I already start using this series.

When used together with the SK-II STEMPOWER, the dynamic duo is able to provide:

Ou Yes! Different year - Same title!

Wollaaa..I'm finally blogging about the almost 2 weeks ago Singapore Blog Awards 2013 Final!
credit: SBA facebook
I knoooow..it's totally late! I've been busy with baby stuff and been travelling back to Jakarta to do shopping for baby stuff. It's pretty much 1/2 of the price in Singapore, and we got a cheap return flight by Tiger air - So off to home we went.

And before I am showing a little photos of me keep holding the awards in my hand, I just want to
thank all of you
that voted for me again this year, supporting me all this while, and keep reading my blog.

and especially to my Mr. - The man behind the scene -
Thank you for supporting me in all the way.
*Btw, I look damn messy on that day*

Me and Mr. arrived late, and when I entered Shanghai Dolly..I have to rushed in because somebody told me that I need to be inside like NOW!! I was like..ha? oh ok! I almost run with my 6 months preggie belly rushing in to where the event at - thank God I still remember I am pregnant.

At the moment I stepped in to the event area, I saw the MC is announcing the Best Beauty Blog category start by naming all the finalist, then mentioned my name as one of the WINNER. That happened too fast and I am still stood there and thinking that good things can't be happening twice - but hell YES! I made it again!

I'm happy that this year I (again) won Singapore Best Beauty Blog 2013 together with Karen and Elaine.

It's another year of fun and another year of awesome exposure for me and my lovely blog
 " Pinkbuble In Da House "

During the interview for Omy.sg, they asked me on:
How I feel to win Singapore Blog Award in Best beauty Blog category for the second time?

To be honest, I seriously didn't expect that I will have the title again for the second time, but the best of all - I had fun this year in making friends and being a part of Singapore Beauty Blogsphere. And even, when one day I move out to another country - my blogging life in Singapore is definitely one of the things that I will miss so much.

Second of all, they asked me:
What do I think of things that makes a good beauty blogger?

I would say being yourself and always be honest about what you write is important.
People that read your blog would like to know the genuine review that maybe magazine or advertisement didn't give them. So even it is a paid advertorial about products - still be honest! If you don't like the product and if it's not a good product, don't write it as if it's the best product you ever found just because you get paid. Tell the advertiser the truth - if they don't like it..just withdraw the contract, if they respect your opinion - that will be the win - win solution.

Oh yes I know, when $$ is involved things are slightly hard to negotiate.
But hey, if you want to be a trusted beauty blogger by your readers and future awesome advertiser, you need to let them know that your opinion is yours and can't be bought.

Here are the winners from Singapore Blog Awards 2013

Few photos to enjoy before I am ending this post :)

Last but not least..I am grateful for the whole journey ..this means a lot to me, being a beauty blogger is a common thing - but being recognised as consecutive 2 years award winning beauty blogger makes me beyond happy and grateful, and this isn't about me only, this is also about all of you that join the beauty journey with me. And as promised, I will be sharing my prize to the lucky you!

Stay tuned for my Winning - Giveaway!

Mine and Moi Mr. skin care regime

Before some random sellers in Gmarket using my face to sell their products again, I need to clarify that..my skin today, is the result of the investment I made on my SK II purchased some years back and I've been re-purchasing SK II products ever since.

Although, once a while I did try some other skin care for review purpose; and did stop stop using SK II for the first 3 months on my pregnancy due to my skin changes, I am glad to announce that I finally back to SK II for my skin regime.

And to answer one of the readers (Tantri's) question on is it worth to invest in SK II for the skincare?
I personally would say " BLOODY YES! " but it's all back to your skin. I know some of my friends tried SK II and didn't find it suitable for their skin, so do you purchase wisely. After all, this is not a cheap range to invest in - although definitely not the most expensive skin care as well.

I know it's been a while since I review about my personal skin care, and I finally writing it back again coz I am tired to answer people about what skin care I use and how to achieve the healthy skin. I hope people stop asking me on what skincare I use and start reading this post :P
and also, if you are looking for anti aging stuff, check out this article that talks about anti-aging prevention!

First of all: I don't have a perfect skin.
I have hyper pigmentation, some milia seeds and little fat lump around my eyes, sometimes dark circle and definitely big eye bag. But I also have a smooth, fair complexion that I am proud of.

And apart from using skin care, I drink a lot of water daily, I take a lot of fruits, and almost never skip my daily fish oil intake. So definitely taking care of your skin from inside does count as well. I won't be discussing about hormonal thingy that cause breakouts on the skin - because I am no expert in it and I haven't do my research on this topic. :D

So yeah, back to my skin care routine - about SK II.
* Btw, this post is not sponsored, okie?*
I am just a normal SK II user that want to share the Yay and Nay about things I use.

and also, I will be sharing about my Mr. skincare range as well. :P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is how my bathroom wall cabinet look like:
You definitely know which one is mine :P
This is pretty much what I use regularly:
Bed head hair styling product (shine spray and the thickening paste)
Dry shampoo
Kiehl's deep pore cleansing
SK II skincare series
Decleor cleansing
Cure
Cetaphil
On daily basis, here are my heroes!
For the skin regime: it's SK II.
I can't wait to finished up my SK II skin signature and cellumination essence and tried out their new product ^^
I normally apply the SK II facial treatment essence + Skin signature in the morning, and
treatment essence + cellumination + skin signature + SK II advance eye treatment at night.
So far, it works wonder on my skin, especially in the morning when I wakes up and found my skin glowing radiantly and almost poreless. Check out the best anti-ageing creams from SK-II and more!
Ok, enough! I sounds like the brand ambassador already - and I hope people stop asking me on what skincare I use and start reading this post :P
Next, my Mr. skincare!
This is funny, before I was an active beauty blogger in Singapore and Indonesia blogsphere - all he applied on his face was a shaving lotion and toner I guess.
But look at this now:
Mr. currently using Biotherm Homme for his moisturiser, Kiehl's Oil free toner which work so awesomely on his oily combination skin, Kiehl's midnight recovery concentrate and Midnight recovery eye cream ( I used Kiehl's midnight series during the 1st 3 month during my pregnancy; super loveeeeeee the smells and the texture is my skin best friend on the rough first 3 months)
Oh btw, if you have oily combination skin - you need to try Kiehl's Oil-free series.
My Mr.'s face could be damn oily whenever we are in humid weather like Sg, and Bangkok.
 He first tried it during our holiday in Bangkok last month; and man oh man..Kiehl's oil -free series did control  oil produce in his skin without drying them up.
 So, definitely a must buy for the oily combination skin.
..and before I end this post, I know this is random..Gals - if your boyfriend or hubby is looking for the shaving foam/gel - get them L'occitan shaving gel as photo below.
It smells bloody good! - and it creates the kissing session atmosphere even better! :P
'Till later!
My editorial shoot using Panasonic curler and Liese Hair Spray!
Tried and tested!
Liese Free Arrange and Liese Super hard hairspray
for my today's editorial shoot,
and Panasonic multi styling straightener.
As a make up artist, I mostly invest on hair styling tools that is good and has a lot of function :) It is simply fuss free to just bring 1 tools that do multi jobs - believe me, you don't wanna end up bringing 4 different curler to the shoot location, when the designer haven't decide the hair look or - just in case - the designer suddenly change her mind about the hair look. :P
Anyway, just to share this new baby that I use for today's editorial shoot.
This Panasonic multi styling straightener comes in 5 different function in creating:
- Medium curl
- Large curl
- Extra large curl
- Volumizer
-Straightener
and it has the heat temperature controller range from 1-5.
For today's look, I am using the medium curl to create the soft curl as a base styling.
More info about the product go to:
www.panasonic.asia/beauty
www.facebook.com/sgpanasonic
Meet my model of the day :)
This is Lisa,
and today I am creating this hair look for her:
She has a supeeeer long straight hair..
..and in order to get that hair look, I am using Liese free arrange for the setting curl to start with.
With the Panasonic medium curl, I curled up her hair and easy set it with Liese Free arrange hairspray :)
Then I begin to do the styling and locking the hair based, using Liese Super hard hairspray :)
and oh, just a little tips to share on how to:
" bump up our hair "
Tease your hair near to the root, spray 15 cm far Liese super hard  to the hair root
and you will get the hair bump as what I did to my model below :)
Overall, I am pretty happy with the make up and hair look of today's shoot.
The curl and the bump stay up until the last outfit even though it was pretty windy at Marina Barrage.
