The make over to rave for by The Scene Salon!

During my visit back in Singapore, I went to one newly opened Korean Salon that i will definitely coming back to! I got my hair done, ready for my Chinese New Year and the little talk show event in Jakarta!

Everyone, let me introduce you "The Scene" salon! This place currently has on-going  transformation to change the scene into Korean stylists only hair salon to bring authentic Korean trends to you. I love the fact that this place own, and run by professional DuSol beauty, with in house Korean stylist as well! I got a privilege to meet and spent good 2 hours with the owner, Mr. Chu. It was really one wonderful afternoon for me. I know my hair is in good hand and i got one great businessman to share his ideas. Never estimate the creative mind behind one young face. Amazing! 

The salon is located in one of the prime locations of Singapore, and the hairstylists are highly qualified Korean professionals, who have been trained and have gained reputable styling experiences in Korea. Btw, they are not affiliated in any way with the scene at Robinson. :)

Moving on, having been involve in beauty world since 2012 as beauty blogger, I know what is good and what is so-so kind of treatment, technique and result for my hair. I must say that this hair I'm currently having from The Scene is definitely one of the best. Not because it turns the color to be even more gorgeous, the cutting technique is extraordinaire. I just love it.

I love my hair look healthy with the right amount of shine. I had my hair examine by the senior stylist before deciding what to do with it. I actually asked for a soft perm, and my request was denied because my hair couldn't take it and it will damage my hair. I LOVE this kind of professionalism, I had bad experience with one of the local salon that perm my hair without care about my hair condition. I came out of the salon with my hair tied up, because it was so damage like a corn hair. With The scene, you know they are not always just about making money - they want to make you look good.

I had a good 4 steps to regenerate my tired hair. Started with a good moisture treatment, followed by hair vitamin, oil based cream and close with one beautiful scent of mask. A good 3 hours well spent to this beautiful, bountiful hair. Super love it!

My short Korean Permed hair by Salon De Choix

Finally the first 3 fragile months on my pregnancy has ended,
and now I can start getting myself a little treat :)

If you follow my blog long enough, you will know that most of the time I am with my permed hair.. until the very last one damaged by one little salon in Far East Plaza, and because of that stupid salon.. I've gotta keep it unpermed for 1 long horrible year, only until last weekend..I finally got it permed.

Bye bye my straight hair :)

..And before I received a lot of blablabla on pregnant women should not get their hair permed or rebonding, I need to tell you THAT i did my research, I read a lot of info and even consulted my director of stylist, Sharon Wu about pregnancy and hair thingy.

So Sharon and the team decided to get me a low soft Korean wave to change my look!
This is totally safe as the chemical did not get into my scalp.

The whole process started with protecting my hair from the chemical using X-tenso moisturist smoothing cream.

Roll it up..

continue with X-tenso  moisturist digital perm neutralising lotion.

I remember last time, I have to wait for bloody hours to get the perm done, but to my surprise..this time was pretty short. The whole total hours spent for washing the hair, cutting, perming, treatment, washing and blow drying and styling was only 3 hours.

It's totally enjoyable and I really can't wait to see the result!

Sharon and Cassandra applied a various Kerastase and Shu Uemura products on my hair to protect and keep the curl in style. This something cool about Salon De Choix, they only use a great product to keep your hair awesome and not to forget that the rate it's affordable.

Cassandra dried up my hair with a circular blower, this is really fun!

All they have to do is just to put my hair in it and attached it with the hair drier..

..and voilaa..curly bouncy hair is mine...^^

Sharon did put Kerastase Elixir Kultime on my hair to get the shinny effect.

And blow dry my hair until it completely dry.

I didn't touch up my hair colour - so bear with the colour.

I really like my new hair.
It's a kind of Korean wave that I want, a soft and bouncy curl.


and the most important thing, it doesn't look like Auntie curl.

Let me bring you to my hair make over process, and I love how it turned out.

My Stylist, Jerry ( He is a senior stylist) 
did brief consultation on what is the current situation of my hair now.

It's an honest comment from him, which I agree that my hair is messy and dry T_T

I know I am lacking in this department, 

and never trying to do something extra mile to keep my hair well. >.<' 

I look forward on how Jerry could transform my hair.

 One thing for sure, Salon de Choix provide pamper you comfortably.
Start from a choice of drink for you to choose.

Snacks range from crackers to Instant noodle.

Or even a kimono to keep you warm.


First step, Jerry trimmed my hair.

Then we decided to do creative highlight.

I told him, my job nature not allowing me to have a funky hair colour in the office, but I want a dash of red on my hair. 

So, Jerry created something i call " hide and peep" red colour on my hair.

The red, I mean a real red..peeping out from the ashy brown hair he had for me as based colour.

After sometimes, they escorted me to a rinse area, and guess WOOT?
The washing chair is a MASSAGE CHAIR!
I never NEVER EVER in my life found a salon with a massage chair, and I am totally sold to this place. Hehehehe..the usual hair washing that I hate becomes something that i wish gonna take longer than it should be.

So relaxing and i got my head massage too. OMG, Jerry you are the best!

Next, Treatment time.

According to Jerry, 

this treatment are meant to close the follicle that are opened during the process of hair colouring. 

It's totally your choice though, and they are not going to push you to take the product. 

Unless you really need it.

In my own opinion, I don't usually take this kind of treatment in Salon, because I thought it's going to last until my next hair washing and that's it. Gone my $200+ treatment.

But I need to tell you this, and this is not because I am sponsored.

I tried this treatment, and it does last.

It does help. And it does treat my hair.

It is worth to try.

In Salon the Choix, they have a protocol of the treatment based on your hair condition.

Like mine, as seen in the chart below:

*Dry*

* Weak*

*And still consider - thick*

From the above analysis, Jerry told me that I need to reconstruct my hair first and in the same time protect my coloured hair.



So this is my treatment choice.


Hygienic and practical, with a pump spray bottle.

And after a 15 mins treatment or so..Jerry rinsed my hair again (oh the massage chair!), and ready to style it for me.

He half dried my hair with a blower..


and apply this Kerastase product to keep the hair ends in place.
