Natural look make up tutorial [Video]

Hellow ladies..am sharing up another natural look tutorial that I think suitable for your daily look :)

No fake eyelash, no shading technique, only tons of Mascara to apply. I was requested to do this tutorial from Cindy, one of my readers in Indonesia.

She has problem in applying fake eyelash for her make up, and she would like to look good without it..well of course, with Maybelline mascara, you can achieve the [almost] fake eyelashes effect without even wearing one.

These are the awesome mascara I received from Maybelline Indonesia, OMG! they are just super generous in sharing up their products. I am pampered.

And not only that, Maybelline Indonesia also sent me this lovely eyeliner..

And this gorgeous colours of Diamond Glow and Hyper Glow collection!

And today's tutorial, I'm gonna use mostly Maybelline products - except my eyebrow powder (by NYX)
Well, actually..you can just use  anything you have at home to create this look..it's easy, light and hopefully you like it ^^

One of the trick to create a natural fresh looking make up is a healthy and glowing skin to start.
So, don't forget to keep moisturised your skin, mask it twice a week, ampoule it if you have to, and exfoliate it once a week to remove the dead skin :)

Green eyes green?

This is going to be a simple tutorial on the eye look :)

Before you go for the green eyes make up, prep the whole look with a simple and natural make up.

This is how I look after the " Natural " make up.

From there..
I applied my dark green eyeshadow on 1/2 of my outer lid

+
2 shades lighter of green on the 1/2 inner lid

I also use a turquoise green to frame my lower liner :)

Don't forget the fake eyelash to make your eyes "awake " :)

and also a black pencil eyeliner on your lower waterline :)

Keep a little gloss on your lips and keep the lips color subtle :)

Have you heard of Kajal before?
Yes? No?

Anyway, I am going to show you how I play around with 4 different eye look using:

~ Aku bakal oret oret mata pake Kajal, 

ada yang pernah denger ato bahkan pake kajal ga buat sehari hari? ~

Basically Kajal it's another name from KOHL.

 * I just know about it too :P*

 

 ~ Intinya, gw yg katro ini baru tau kalo Kajal itu nama laen dari KOHL. Tapi kok tetep gw berasa beda yah..kajal ini sama pensil mata walo yg tipe Kohl, ga tau apa sugesti doang ato beneran beda bahan buatnya yah. ~

It's fun to play with Kajal, because it's easier to blend *yes you can blend it* compare to a normal pencil eyeliner, and it's easier to remove too. And yeap, it means no staying power as well.

~ Kemaren pas iseng iseng nyoret mata pake Kajal, gw berasa pake Kajal mayan seru karena mungkin karena teksturnya beda..garis matanya jadi bisa ditarik tarik. ~

I just found my old eye make up..it's hidden in some file..hahaha..and it's blue.

How many of you love to experiments in Blue eye shadow?
I know some people found this color is so old school and a big Meh!

Personally, I don't think I will go out with this color as daily make up,
I prefer something subtle and goes well with any outfit I wear everyday.

But in certain occasion, why not?

Add a little black eyeshadow on the outer vertical V to make it more dimensional.

Blend it well and here you go..a not so conventional blue eyeshadow :)

Lai lai..let me share how to do Korean make up :)
I was invited for Laneige make up workshop at Fairmont Hotel couple of Sundays ago, and I immediately RSVP for this! It's Korean make up trick and tips, of course I will not say NO! and I'm glad I arrived just right before the make up session started :(
I was stuck in express way for more than 30 mins, goddamid!

Sotoy tahap tinggi ya gw? ahhahaa..tapi se-engganya tutorial gw kali ini, 

gw dapet first hand dari Korean Make up artist Choi Jung Hwa dan Celebrity make up artist Yuji Tong dari Hong Kong. Yuuk Mari..

We all know Korean known for their flawless, smooth and dewy skin, which I think it's impossible to achieve..because Korean by default has beautiful skin, flawless and just a pretty canvas to start. But seriously, after I tried Laneige water banks skin care range, I start to believe that maybe I can have that Korean supple skin.

Yaolo, kalo ngomongin kulit orang Korea..jelaslah ya gw ngiri!hahaha..kok kayaknya alus, mulus, dan agak2 glowing gitu deh..dulu gw tau trick paling gampangnya, campurin highlighter sama foundation biar bikin muka kita glowing. Tapi ya bo, ternyata dari skin care nya aja udah nolong..dan bener ya, kalo merek Korea itu dibikin untuk kulit asia. *gw serasa tukang obat* Tapi sungguh, Laneige water bank skin care nya ngaruh jek!

I don't have much photo during the workshop, it's like ok..BB snow time, then eyebrow then cheek, lipstick..and we're done! Ha? I have not snap a pic yet..-_-'

So, I'm gonna break it down on below after sharing few photos from the workshop :)

NOW, I'm gonna share what I learned in the workshop from Yuji and in Laneige Party  from Mr. Choi Jung Hwang (Korean make up artist).

Daku share tips make up ala Korea yang baru norak gw pelajarin dari Yuji en Mr. Choi Jung Hwang, make up artist dari Korea yo!

1. Start with a clean face, keep it moisturised, (and do some corrective if you need to-this is tips from me).
My corrective make up in Korean make up will only covering my dark circle using NIP & FAB eyefix. On the lower right photo, you can see my before and after the eye fix, which actually function as dark circle treatment with a pink tint to cover while treating it. Double combo!

Dimulai dari muka yang bersih, pake moisturiser yang water based trus liat kira kira apa yang mesti diberesin dulu sebelon mulai make up. Untuk Korean make up ini, simply less is more..jangan overdue ini itu, dan aku cuma pake eye fix dari NIP & FAB yang sebenernya fungsinya untuk nge-treat dark circle, tapi dia berwarna pink gitu..dan mayan ok buat jadi concealer ^^
 
2. Choosing a right base.

3. Keep thicker eyebrow for a younger look

I bet you notice, Korean eyebrow :)
You will never find a Korean actress or singer with a one thin archy eyebrow.
That is because, they want to look younger by having a thicker and fuller eyebrow.

Pasti kalian ampir ga pernah liat SNSD ato siapa lah penyanyi ato aktris Korea alisnya tipis melengkung indah di muka, itu karena menurut Mr. Choi, di Korea..mereka selalu mau keliatan muda, dan salah satu caranya ya punya alis yang tebel dan lebat (tapi bukan berarti alis lu lebat berantakan lu bilang itu alis Korea kata Pinkbuble) Engga loh yah!

It's actually pretty easy to draw:)
Keep your hands light, and start drawing from the bottom, and just filling the whole eyebrow according to theshape that suits your face.

Kalo misalnya pada bingung gimana pula gambar alis tebel dan rapi, coba mulai dari bawah kayak poto gw ini, ini buat acuan supaya ada batesan alis tebel kita. Abis itu, ikutin bentuk alis kita yang uda dirapiin dan diisin pake pensil alis.
 
That 3 Principal rules are the main keys for Korean look! Simple and easy to follow.
Just make sure you get a right brand to create the look.

One simple guidance in creating Korean make up look:
the E shape blush and S shape highlight.
Frankly speaking, this is a new technique for me too, because you know, usually we highlight our nose bridge, apple of the cheek and a little in forehead. Right?
This time, try something different..by following the E shape and the S shape, according to Mr. Choi, we are enhancing not only one part of our face but the whole of it :)

Sebelon kita mulai ke Korean make up look, coba peratiin cara Mr. Choi tarok blush sama highlightnya. Biasa kita highlight kan di batang idung, trus di pipi sama jidat sedikit, ya kan?
Nah, teknik make up Korean ini..mereka bikin E shape blush sama S shape highlight..liat aja lah ya di gambar bawah ini..

With the above guidance, now we can create the look that we want :)

The first look that I'm gonna share with you is the Korean so called " nude look " it's like, you are not using anything on you face but you are glowing enough and look presentable when you leave the house.

Untuk look yang pertama, ini tuh yang disebut Korean " nude look " :)
Jadi biasalah yah, ini efeknya tuh yang kayak..*ah aku ga pake apa-apa kok sebenernya * tapi keliatan glowing aja gitu..hahahha bohong abis!

Want this look?
1. Eyeshadow - Dark: peach - Light: matte white
2. Blush:  Rose color
3. Pink lippi (apply just in the centre of your lips and coat it with lip gloss)

The next look that I'm going to share is the sophisticated look :)

Something you would wear for work, meeting or hanging out with your girlfriends or boyfriend.

Look ini bisa kok buat dibawa ke kantor, ato buat JJS (masi jaman apa nulis JJS?!?!) hahhaha..ya itulah maksud gw, hang out sama temen2 cewek, buat nge-date ato dateng ke product launching :)

Not recommended to wear on daily dose though, but I think this is very pretty :)

Pokonya, jangan pake make up mata kayak gini untuk sehari-hari..kecuali lu mo konseran, mo pentas balet ato ke club. Nah boleh deh seseruan pake look kayak gini :)
Mr. Choi kemaren pas demo, dia bilang..group band Korea..kalo pentas biasa pake bling bling look begini loh. Gw mah, iyah aja lah. Ga pernah meratiin juga sih, abis merekanya uda cantik gila..mo diapain juga dah cakep lah ya!

Plum-ish blue make up tutorial ^^

Continuing from the Purple Valentine look that I did, last weekend I made another tutorial still on the similar shades of purple. This look will be a kind of soft hues of purple with a dash of bluish as an accent.

Are you this colour kind of person? I am not. 

But it turned out not so bad and I still can carry this for night look :) -or maybe day look?

Anyway, I started the look after the basic make up that I already applied earlier. If you haven't check my quick 10 mins basic make up, go and check it out ^^

So started from this look:

I touch my face up with MAC Studio Perfect.

And use my NYX smokey eyes collection.

These 4 bottom right eyeshadow are the colour range that I choose:

I love to start my eye make up with framing my eyes, it's either with black eyeshadow or eyeliner.

Wing it upward that going to be our guideline to create the eyeshadow shape.

First, take a deeper shade of purple and apply it within the outer corner of your eyes following the dot below

Then the lighter shade on the inner corner.

Once you are done with this 2 steps of eye shadow, you should be able to see the gradation of the eyeshadow on your eyes.

From here, take the dark blue eyeshadow and overlay it from the inner corner to the outer corner following the shape of the blue dotted line.

And to finish the eye make up, take any light or white colour.

 

And swipe lightly all over your eyelid, with more accent under the brow bone.

Repeat the same for the other eyes, put on your lashes, blush, and lipstick.

Aaannnd...you are done!
