How To: Create your very own professional facial (at home).

I won't call this post as tutorial, but I prefer to call this my tips sharing for you who loves to pamper yourself at home and enjoying the professional result as the outcome. :)

Flash back to about 1.5 years ago when my blog has not got any recognition (means no sponsor, no treatment invite, etc) and I just quit my full time job to pursue my study in Professional make up artistry, I was so limited in term of " pampering budget ", so I cut down my frequency to go to salon, facial spa, and manicure and pedicure.

With that limitation, I am still vain and want to keep my old maintenance thingy - still believe that my skin is an investment and will gain me some cash in the future. Lol! - So, I created my own home facial regime. Its working! although the result is not as good as the professional one.

You know, one of the reason we go to pro facial is to get the steaming machine that we don't usually get at home. That face steamer works wonder to do the:

- Deep cleansing
- Moisturizing for a deep moisture retention.
(my preggie skin condition need this so bad!)

And lucky me to have new baby joining my facial at home regime, and turning it into a pro facial treatment at home.

If you keen to find out what are the things needed for my facial at home, keep reading!

~*~

For me, I like to follow the rule of:
1. Deep cleansing
2. Exfoliating
3. Facial massage
4. Mask

Cleanser and Toner:
Decleor Aroma Cleanse

For me, this preggie time has taken the moisture in my skin, and nothing - seriously NO other facial cleanser could help my extreme dry skin but this lovely Decleor.

I plan to re-purchase the full size after this batch is finished.

Exfoliator:
 CURE

Facial Massager and Mask:
Sonic Cleanse and Khiels Rare Earth Deep Pore cleansing Masque

Facial steamer:

Let's start with a bunny headband, to hold your hair.

I like to wrapped a dry towel around it as well for a quick hand wipe after every steps :P
No lah, I actually wrapped it around to cover my ears and fine hair around my face. I don't like it when those little fine hair get's into cleanser or even mask.

Take your cleanser :)

Dot it generously all over your face and gently massage it in circular motion to give a relax feeling to your skin :)

I love to spend around 1-2 mins in doing my hand massage to the face.

Take the facial steamer,

Fill up the water..

Switch it on and let the Ionic steam start " brewing " :)

Once you see the steam start coming out like the photo below..

Take the facial steamer 10 cm away from your face..and hold it for 3 Mins and let the hot steam helps to lift the dirt and oil off skin.

After that, you can wash your face or in my preference..wipe it off with facial cotton.

Then double clean it with Sonic cleanse soaked in warm water.

Then continue with a light toner..

To give you a non sticky feeling after the cleansing milk + the steam.

By this steps, you can already see that my skin is waaay cleaner than it was before.
And pardon me if my face look lighter than my neck, this is a mistake a I committed long back when I started to use skincare, so ladies..use skincare all the way down to your neck to avoid my mistake.

Have I told u that CURE is the only exfoliate liquid I use all this time?
Be it on face, elbow, knee and even the back of my ankle - pretty much everywhere that has skin folding.

..and as always, it never fails me. Love u, cure!

After the simple exfoliation, I like to put my face under the hot steam for 10 mins to soften the stubborn area and let my nose area softer for the little extraction after the steaming session.

Then I used this sterilized stainless stick to push some black head and white head out of my nose. I DO NOT recommend this if you have an active pimples or a super sensitive skin. It works for me so far, because I pushed it gently and never caused me any breakout the next day. Use it gently and wisely, ok?

Last step, Mask time!
It's totally up to you on the mask type, for me..ever since my purpose of having this facial at home is to clean my face, might as well I go for the Deep pore cleansing by Khiels for a total clean feeling.

Apply it and wait for 15 mins while doing whatever you want!

Rinse it with warm water..and you will get a clean and glowing face afterwards.
You don't have to worry in getting red blemished after the extraction if you do it gently, and REMEMBER - It never ok and there is no such thing as " beauty is pain " when it comes to facial.

Know your limit and enjoy the beauty of facial (at home).

'Till the next sharing session..stay safe and pretty!

How to: Create 7 different (gorgeous) looks

....By playing around with your lips...

Yes, we know that eyes is the window of our soul..and true it's reflect everything inside us, but it is no secret that lips is the messenger tools that convey the message out to the world :)

So, say good words that reflect your personality. ^^

~*~

Talking about how do we sweeten our lips (and words) when we are so..close to the month of February, the month of where love, balloons, chocolate, and my birthday all come together! *Love it*

I have a little tips on how I usually play around with the colours according my mood; you know mood and make up somehow related, and I can't explain why. But I can let you know, that no matter what mood you are, we can always look good and play well in lippy category. *wink

Little tips #1
Scenario: Lazy day..and wanna look " naturally " fresh.
*This thing can never " naturally " happened to me lor..hahaha..*

This is what I do:
I brush my lips too when I brush my teeth, just to get rid of the dead skin on the lips.
From there, I prep my make up and gently bite my lower and upper lips to creates the natural red lippy colour, just like after you have a hot and steamy french kiss with your guy. :P
* Yaolo..*

Little tips #2
Scenario: Still lazy day..and wanna look a bit "polished "

Easy!
Make up ON, and gloss it up with a clear lip gloss and off you go for your daily routines.

Little tips #3
Scenario: Feeling girly..and wanna have fun..

Pink it up! Nothing could be more girly than baby pink colour, no?
It's like already telling you the whole thing lor..when we see something in pink, we tend to comment something like " Wah..so sweet.." " So girly.." " Like candy.." and so on and so forth..

Simply applied a glossy pink colour lipstick all over your lips and layer it 2-3x more on the centre of your lips to create a little pout. :)

Little tips #4
Scenario: Shit..I have overdone my eye make up and pink, red, orange lipstick doesn't seems match my look! ..-_-' how?
* sometimes, we sooo enjoying our eye make until wah laooo..to dark already*

Key rules: Back to basic.
Keep the neutral colours on the lips to balance it off.
How to choose the natural shade?
Go for nude hues or go for 1-2 shade darker than your original lips colour :)

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

Little tips #5
Scenario: Get a new red lipstick! Wanna play around..but don't know where to start..

Let's take it slow and bold :)
Go for a matte finishing look, tone down the eye make up, and don't forget to pat on a compact powder on top of your lips after lipstick application. It will somehow tone the red color down too and keep the colour in place. So, less stain on your cup, clothes and your man..

Little tips #6
Scenario: PARTY Time!

Ok! Ok! Now it's time to bold it up, show the confidence and let's play a bit more on the eyes to
" Pop " the whole look together. Double or even tripple up the lipstick layer to build up the colour.
Be the sexy beast!
* I'm trying hard to look sexy here* *fail..

Little tips 7
~ and the last one ~

Scenario: Got a goodie bag of an unusual colour of lipstick ..hemm..what to do and how should I wear it..?

If a vampie colour is what you got, just like mine!
I must say it's a " Yay! " instead of " Nay! "

Let's do a Vampy looking photo for fun!
Keep the make up pale, super simple eye make up and Vamp the whole attention just to you lippy!
Top coat it with a super glossy as finishing and camwhore the way out of it!

Having fun is a must.

So I guess, for no matter what our scenario are..we can always get a fun way to " wrap " the look up and walk out from our comfort door with confidence!

But the best of all..

SMILE
..because you never know who will falling love with your smile..

Be happy.

How to: Take PADI Open water dive certificate in Bali

Easy!
as easy as booking a trustworthy dive centre and dive school
that could give you the international PADI standard certification.

We've been recommended by a close friend of ours, Erlina, to go for
BALI STINGRAY DIVERS
for our PADI open water certification.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

So we did make a booking to the owner and dive instructor of Bali Stingray Divers, Mr. Putu.
A humble, super fun and full of responsibility man.

Kopi susu belon diaduk.

If you don't know, I have a phobia of being in open sea.
Something scary on this little head of shark, giant cuttle fish, or even some random scary thought of anything bad. Am just scared of I don't know what, or maybe just one particular things; sea.

But this lovely Mr. Putu could help me in going down the water and dive along with him without being scared. Although I must say, I am nervous. BIG time nervous on the first day going down the sea.

If you have the same fear with me, I think I should share this with you.
Our fear is worth to conquered. Down below the scary bluish black sea is full of amazing colourful creatures that simply could take your breath away --> in a bloody good way though.

And fear not, if you go for a dive class, you will go through a little baby steps to know more about diving and  slowly learn how to save yourself and other in case of emergency. But seriously, if you check your timing under the water, keep you buddy close with you, and going down with a dive master. You don't have to worry too much. Just enjoy the view.
~*~

With Bali Stingray Divers, I went through half day session of theory and many paper review before finally go for the PADI certification exam on the second day, just right before the pool session training.

The most annoying part for me is counting the nitrogen level in our body. Blah!
The only counting I love is counting money and how many shoes I have. :D
Apart from that, umm..not so much a fan.

The package we took is included everything. The training, the certification, the transport, the food, the equipment and even the pick up from and to hotel. It's really a top notch service we had.

The Pool session is the hardest day to kill for me. We learnt so many under water technique, including taking off the regulator from your mouth, the mask, and even the BCD (the life jacket in instant). Also we have to learn under water sign language, and Arief keep doing the heart shape *sarangheyo* type under water to me when I was so concentrating to breath and get my body control under the water. So he got my middle finger in return. :P

After 2 days of stressful moment in my life, *more stressful than my wedding*,
we finally off to the open water for my very first dive in my life.

~*~

Our very first open water dive started with buddy check, just to make sure our oxygen is working properly and the BCD( the jacket) is fit properly and we are good to go.
BTW, that Oxygen tank is seriously FUCKING heavy. I barely could lift my 15kg luggage up and down the stairs, but I have to carry this to steps into the water. Bloody hell.

Walking down to the Aisle Sea..

The moment we got into the water, we've gotta float and put on our fin.
This is also quiet a hard work. Shit, I never know that diving require quite a physical muscle.

After all set and done, we deflate our BCD and off we down to the underwater world...

Tulamben
Wreck Dive on American Cargo US Liberty from the World War II.
Spotted: Baracuda, Clown fish, Anemon, Garden Eel, Moray Eel, Nude branch , Sweet lips fish, stingray, Orang utan crab and frog fish.

It is super breath taking..

I could stay here..all day long..

Look at this little creature..

Garden Eel

Look at this cute and shy Nudebranch..

And see how small it is in the ocean..btw, Nice to meet you Nudee.

Ghost pipe fish
Another nude branch

We also practise how to take alternative oxygen from our friend just in case we have problem with ours.
Practising in the pool and in the sea is totally 2 different things, as in pool, you know if something goes wrong..u can always flip your fin up to the surface to breath some oxygen. But if it's in the sea, it's a totally different scenario, we are in 17 metres deep, even we have left oxygen in our lung, we can't just flip it up due to the different pressure, it will cost a lung expansion injury. SO, take diving seriously in a fun way.
Because after all, we don't have fish fin to breath.

~*~

Second day dive, we went to Padang Bai
Spotted: Shark, Giant cuttle fish, Scorpio fish, long tom, Giant Sea turtle, hugeass lobster, and Soldier fish.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

I don't have photos on the second day, because the visibility of the water is only 8 metres.
Totally different from the smooth and pretty dive in Tulamben.

This one is quite tough because of the strong currents, and also this time we jump straight away from boat.
We were looking for a sea turtle and shark during this dive, and it was amazing..we saw a super BIG sea turtle just enjoying on a red plate-alike coral. It was so, OMG! very beautiful. We also saw 2 medium small shark resting by the bottom of the sea. Not fancy shark much, but suddenly we saw quite a sharky shadow pass by near us, which is a medium big size of shark. That's where the adrenaline start to kick a little bit.
~ totally a typical Noob diver~

I must say, every dive..is totally a different experience to another.
Shit, I think I am addicted to it.

~*~

I will close this entry with my temporary diving cert * YAY~*
Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

And a proud me to be a certified diver!
Not because I made it, but also it's because I could conquer my fear.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

Happy diving everybody.
